Malta’s
climate is strongly influenced by the sea and is typical of the
Mediterranean weather. The Islands have a very sunny climate with
a daily average of around six hours sunshine in mid-winter to more
than 12 hours in summer.
Spring and autumn are the best times to visit Malta and Gozo. Conditions
are perfect between Easter and mid-June, when the weather is pleasantly
warm, but not too hot; beaches
and resorts are relatively un crowded, and accommodation
is cheaper and easier to find than in the high season (mid-June
to end-August). Conditions are once more ideal from the end of August
till the end of November as the season winds down.
"The sun worshipper who flees Northern Europe's cold and damp
winter weather finds in Malta & Gozo the perfect refuge for
it guarantees warmth and sunshine also at winter time".
